Summertime is a season of growth, adventure, and connections. At Woodhaven, we believe that every individual deserves the chance to enjoy summer to the fullest—whether it’s a trip to the lake, a relaxing day at the movies, or an unforgettable week at camp.
We are proud to partner with incredible organizations that help create those cherished summer experiences for the individuals we support.
Wonderland Camp: A Place to Belong
Each year, we do everything we can to send as many individuals as possible to Wonderland Camp at the Lake of the Ozarks. Wonderland Camp is a fully accessible summer camp that welcomes campers of all ages and abilities. It’s a place where people can connect with friends, experience new adventures, and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
The cost to send one individual to Wonderland Camp is just over $1,000—and while that may seem steep, we’ve seen firsthand the joy and growth that happens during that one incredible week. Thanks to generous donors and community support, we accept donations year-round to help cover these costs.

Point View Resort: Lake Days & Lasting Memories
Another special partnership we’re thrilled to highlight is with Point View Resort in Camdenton, MO. Thanks to their generosity and welcoming spirit, some of our individuals have had the chance to enjoy lakefront living—boating, fishing, relaxing in the sun, and simply soaking in the beauty of the Ozarks.
For many, this kind of retreat is a rare and exciting opportunity, offering a change of pace and a refreshing connection to nature. Point View Resort has truly gone above and beyond to create a space where our individuals feel welcome and included.
Lakeside Ashland: Big Screen Fun
Closer to home, we’re grateful to have a wonderful partnership with Lakeside Ashland, a local drive-in style movie theater in Ashland, MO. Their team provides passes for our individuals to enjoy movies throughout the year—and especially in the summer when a cool outdoor theater can be the perfect escape.
The kindness and accessibility Lakeside Ashland offers helps our individuals feel like part of the community. From family-friendly features to action-packed blockbusters, movie outings are a favorite activity for many of those we support.

While we may not host a traditional summer camp at Woodhaven, our partnerships with Wonderland Camp, Point View Resort, and Lakeside Ashland allow us to offer a summer full of possibilities. These experiences foster independence, inclusion, and pure joy—and none of it would be possible without community support.
