Summer has turned to fall and the holiday season will be here sooner than you think. The holidays are an incredibly important time here at Woodhaven. One way we like to make it special for our community members is through our Gift Card Drive program, which anyone can be a part of! This program helps bring joy to the lives of over 100 Woodhaven community members to make birthdays and holidays special.
Why Donate Gift Cards?
Participating in our Gift Card Drive program is a great way to get involved with Woodhaven’s mission while supporting our vibrant community. The people we support enjoy putting their cards to use by purchasing gifts for their family members or buying something to treat themselves, among other fun ways to spend a new gift card. Plus, while the Gift Card Drive is exciting for everybody, it is especially meaningful for those who have little contact with their families and could use something positive during the holiday season.
How It Works
We take donations of both $5 Walmart gift cards and monetary donations to pay for the purchase of gift cards. Gift cards received between Oct. 15 and Dec. 1 will be put toward this year’s holiday gift card drive, and anything donated other times of the year will be used for our birthday gift card program. Last year, we received enough donations to give each person a $60 gift card for Christmas and a $20 gift card for their birthdays. With your help, we can make this happen again this year!
