Fall 2026 Class Schedule

Therapeutic Recreation CLASSES ($500)

Mindful Movement (Monday) 11:30am - 12:30pm

Experience connecting with yourself through breathing, movement, and meditation. Founded in the original philosophies of Yoga, this class will help you bring balance to your life: physically, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. Come prepared with a yoga mat, water bottle, and an open mind as we explore the present moment together. When we give ourselves enough space, anything is possible. Let’s begin.

Tell Your Story (Monday) 12:30pm - 1:30pm

In this relaxing and introspective class, we will create a soft space to explore our feelings, ideas, thoughts, and experiences. We will use music, journaling, art, writing prompts, guided meditation, poetry, and other forms of creative expression to help us know and understand ourselves better. We will also have the opportunity to share our stories and art with each other and practice our listening skills as we hold space for everyone’s expression.

Wellness in Nature (Tuesday) 11:30am - 12:30pm

Join us for a walking class at a local park! Every week we will meet to walk and enjoy nature with other students. There will be a wellness topic and meditation to expand our awareness and get comfortable being in nature. The range of walks will vary.

Wood Painting (Tuesday) 1pm - 2pm

Create and paint your own wooden masterpieces in this beginner-friendly creative workshop! We will learn specialized painting techniques and express ourselves using wood pieces as our canvas. Explore your creativity and build your confidence in a fun and supportive environment!

Wii Sports (Tuesday) 2:30pm - 3:30pm (Wednesday) 4:30pm - 5:30pm

Wii are all better together! Have fun and get some exercise too! Introducing an action-packed Wii class. Wii will play a variety of classic Wii games—Tennis, Archery, Bowling, Baseball. Wii can play ’em all in this fun-filled class, but only if Wii sign up!

Self-Defense (Tuesday) 4:30pm - 5:30pm
(Wednesday) 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Use your self-defense skills to give BOB, the punching dummy a good workout, while you get one too! Become proficient in blocking, kicking and striking. Increase your awareness and ability to defend yourself. A fun, fast action class!

Group Drumming (Wednesday) 12pm - 1pm

Expect more than a drumming class where you’ll play rhythms, build musical skills, and learn about many different styles of music. Did you know that music can also help you reduce stress, tap into positive emotions, communicate and be heard, connect with others, give your brain a workout, and most of all – it’s fun!? We will play hand drums and percussion, try out various instruments, sing, move, and share in some fun and positive vibes while we work to strengthen our social emotional wellness!

Become a Chess Master! (Wednesday) 3:30pm - 4:30pm

You can do it! It’s never too late to learn how to play chess, the most popular game in the world! Learning the rules of chess is fun & easy. Rule your Kingdom, protect your Queen, increase your strategic skills and make new friends as you battle to conquer your opponent in this classic board game.

Tech/Career/Misc ($400)

3D Printing 101: Your First Steps into 3D Creation! (Monday) 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Ever wondered how 3D printers work? In this class, you’ll learn the basics of 3D printing, from how the machines operate to printing your first object. It’s a hands-on adventure into the future of making things!

Driving Simulator - (Monday) 4:30pm - 5:30pm; 5:30pm-6:30pm (Wednesday) 1:30pm - 2:30pm

Would you like to learn and practice your driving skills in a safe environment before venturing out into traffic? This class will include going over the basics as well as working on the motor automatic stage of driving to gain skills, comfortability, and confidence in your driving ability. Using driving simulators, students will learn to practice for skill and confidence.

Stay Safe: Your Guide to Handling the Unexpected (Monday) 4:30pm - 5:30pm

Life can be unpredictable, but you can be ready! In this class, you’ll learn how to stay calm and take action in emergencies. From accidents to severe weather, you’ll know what to do. Plus, we’ll practice how to talk to police and other helpers. Feel confident and safe wherever you are!

Intro to Podcasting (Tuesday) 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Podcasting technology has given us all the ability to create and express ourselves. Join this fun, creative class as we create our very own podcast studio and express ourselves. Have your thoughts, feelings, and ideas come to life as we make new friends and great (recorded) memories!

Navigating Your World (Wednesday) 11am - 12pmm

Are you already driving, but need a boost of confidence? This class will explore key areas associated with driving including adjustments to improve safety when behind the wheel, navigating roadways, wayfinding/planning, and social skills necessary when going out in the community. (This course does not offer behind the wheel instruction.)

Social Skills Classes ($500)

Topics & Tea (Monday) 1:30pm - 2:30pm

In Topics & Tea we’ll discuss weekly topics with our beverage of choice, encouraging introspection and vulnerability in a relaxed social environment. Get together with all of the people you know (and some you don’t) and participate in this unique opportunity to build your social skills, share your experiences, and make friends along the way.

Dungeons & Dragons: A Social Skills Adventure (Monday) 2:30pm - 3:30pm (Tuesday) 5:30pm - 6:30pm

In this class, we will use Dungeons & Dragons to actively practice and develop essential social skills. Perfect for students looking to improve their teamwork, peer communication, and group problem-solving! Rather than just playing a game, our focus is on working together to improve our life skills. Students will navigate complex scenarios that require them to practice active listening, resolve disagreements constructively, and make collaborative decisions to succeed as a team.

Developing & Strengthening Relationships in Adulthood (Monday) 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Now that you are an adult, do you ever struggle to make and keep friendships? You’re not alone in this group as we will share our experiences in the current school/life/workforce. We will learn how to manage adult experiences, learn new ways of managing conflict, and gain lasting relationships with our peers through in-person socialization. Maybe you will find someone with a common interest and become the best of pals in class!

Key to Successful Friendships (Tuesday) 3:30pm - 4:30pm

We all want to have good friends and also be a good friend. In this engaging and fun class, we will practice starting conversations, maintaining conversations, and other social skills necessary to build meaningful relationships. Let’s hang out together, have fun, and make friends!

Workplace Social Skills (Tuesday) 4:30pm - 5:30pm

Communicating effectively with others is essential to excel in any job. Learn the social skills you need to be a great “team player” and how to provide excellent customer service. This class will incorporate practice with real situations to help students gain confidence in their skills.

Life Skills Workshop (Wednesday) 11am - 12pm

This is an interactive class designed to empower students to develop essential life skills through better communication. We will focus on all types of communication, including self-advocacy and social interaction to help students confidently navigate everyday situations.

Minecraft: Surviving Together! Online (Wednesday) 5pm - 6pm (Thursday) 5:30pm - 6:30pm

In this class we will focus on creating a world together. Perfect for all the Minecraft lovers who want to practice their teamwork and social skills while having an adventure along the way! The plan is to start out at the very beginning and work our way up, seeing what we can create as a group.

Express Yourself! ONLINE (Thursday) 3:30pm - 4:30pm

In this welcoming, laid-back, and fun class we will learn to discover, see, and  value our uniqueness. We will express ourselves in  various ways: perhaps by  sharing stories, music, ideas, interests, as well as through the art of conversation. In addition to gaining confidence in expressing ourselves, we will practice listening, giving space and encouragement to others, asking questions, and celebrating the uniqueness of our classmates. Express Yourself is about self-confidence, empathy, collaboration, and social skills essential to living a full, fun, and happy life!

Fall EnCircle Technologies classes at Woodhaven will begin September 14, 2026. Initial Interview is required for new students.

Students must be 12 years of age or older, attend class weekly, and maintain respectful behavior during class.

NO PERSON SHALL BE DENIED ADMISSION BECAUSE OF RACE, RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, OR VETERAN STATUS.

Several funding options are available for students, including Boone County Children’s Services Fund.
