Benefits
As an employee of Woodhaven, the following benefits are offered to you depending on the number of weekly hours you are scheduled: Health Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, AFLAC Supplemental Insurance, Life Insurance, Pension Plan, Annuity and Savings, Tuition Reimbursement, Earned Time Off, Credit Union Affiliation, Employee Referral Bonus.
An employee scheduled 30 to 40 hours per week is considered a full-time employee. If you are scheduled under 30 hours per week, you are considered a part-time employee. For more information on any of the benefits offered, contact the Human Resource Department at 573-876-7344
Health Insurance
All full-time employees are eligible for Group Health Insurance which includes dental, vision, health and prescription card. The employee cost for this coverage is 20% per month (approximately $80). Family members may be added at an additional cost. Eligible employees must come to the Human Resource office to sign up within their first 90 days and the insurance will go into effect on the 1st day of the month after their 90th day of employment.
EAP – Employee Assistance Program
As a benefit, Woodhaven and Boone Hospital Center have joined together to offer Woodhaven’s employees and their family members an Employee Assistance Program. This is a confidential assessment, short-term counseling and referral service that provides direction to troubled employees and their families.
AFLAC Supplemental Insurance
ALFAC Supplemental Insurance is also available to all employees scheduled 10 hours or more per week.
Life Insurance
All full-time employees will receive a $10,000 life insurance policy AT NO COST. Additional life insurance may be purchased for you or your family for a minimal cost.
Pension Plan
Pension Plan membership is offered to all full-time employees after 1 year of employment. Upon joining this plan, you begin a deduction of a sum equal to 3% of 75% of your annual salary on a monthly basis and Woodhaven will contribute 11% of 75% of your annual salary. After two years from your enrollment date, this amount will vest.
There are annuity and savings programs also available to full-time employees. The Tax Deferred Additional Benefits annuity is a pension program offered by the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for employees of churches, schools and other similar organizations. With the cooperation of the employing institution participating in this program, a portion of your taxes can be deferred to retirement (or whenever payments are received) on both contributions and earnings. Such programs, through special provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, offer exceptional opportunities to build larger retirement benefits.
Reimbursement is subject to approval based the agency specialty needs. If the need arises for a particular position or specialty skill, those that meet minimum requirements will be considered.
Tax Deferred Retirement Account and Benefit Accumulation Account
These programs are also available to full-time employees. The Tax Deffered Retirement Account allows the employee to set aside retirement funds on a pre-tax basis. The Benefit Accumulation Account (BAA) works like a pre-tax savings account. These programs are offered through the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Such programs, through special provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, offer exceptional opportunities to build larger retirement benefits.

ETO (Earned Time Off) & Holiday Accrual:
Earned Time Off and Holiday Accrual: All full-time and part-time employees are eligible for vacation, sick and holiday time referred to as Earned Time Off (ETO). This time is pro-rated over 26 pay periods. You receive a portion each pay period.
As a non-exempt employee you will accrue 0.0844 hours per pay period based on the hours you work, as paid leave time. You are eligible to take paid leave time after 90 days of employment. (Example: A full-time employee scheduled 40 hours per week, who works their first 90 days as scheduled would accumulate 40 hours of paid leave on their 90th day of employment).
Exempt employees receive vacation, sick leave and holiday time.
Credit Union Affiliation
Woodhaven is a member of the Community Credit Union. You may join through a payroll deduction for a savings account. Personal and other loans are also available.
Employee Referral Bonus
A referral bonus is given to any employee that refers another person to the agency who becomes employed and is successful within the agency. The referring employee will receive $150.00 for the first six months that the referred employee is employed. An additional $150.00 is given if the referred employee is employed for the entire year, for a combined total of $300.00 in referral bonuses.
